Worship8:00 A.M.
This worship service begins with a time of casual fellowship and quiet meditation. It is a more informal service than the 10:00 hour -- without music -- but with exactly the same proclamation of the word (scripture and sermon) as the second service. What makes this service unique is the intimate setting for Holy Communion: following the sermon we gather in a circle around the communion table as a group -- like family at the dinner table but without the chairs! As is true for every United Methodist communion service, we have an "open table," i.e., regardless of your denominational affiliation or history in or with the Christian church, you are welcome to receive communion. There is always room for one more at the table! 10:00 A.M.This is a traditional United Methodist service of worship -- complete with choral or solo music and hymns sung by the congregation. During the summer months we add a time at the beginning of worship for members of the congregation to choose their favorite hymns that are then sung by everyone.
